Absolutely horrible! Tripcentral shows you many false prices on fights and when you try to book the fight this is what it reads….
“The verified price is different from the first price sent to us by our supplier.
Sometimes it is due to differences in availability, but often it is related to taxes and surcharges not being quoted correctly on the first fare quote from our wholesale suppliers. We are not happy about this, because it messes up our scoring and assignment of best price and best value to our customers. But eliminating these suppliers altogether may result in good fares not being shown, and comparing prices that do not include taxes like our competitors is even worse. We’re working with our suppliers to reduce these discrepancies. We apologize and hope you don’t blame us!”
This has happened for every single flight to Costa Rica.
THIS IS NOT AN ACCIDENT…IT IS A MARKETING TECHNIQUE
“The Bait and Hook business model is one of the most well-known business models, and is often described as the Razor Blade model in reference to one of its leading examples. In more generic terms it is also quoted to as the Tied Products/Service business model. In essence the model consists of offering a basic product or service at a very low price (the bait), and then taking profit on recurrent sales of refills or associated products or services (the hook)”.
I called TripCentral and was told that if I speak to an agent I will be charged a fee!
Horrible customer service and business practices.
