Looking for somewhere to do with the family where you can get a deal on the Canadian dollar?
With almost 100 km of beautiful beaches and attractions galore, there is fun for all ages in the Myrtle Beach area. And during its annual Can-Am Days Festival, there are also deep discounts for Canadians on lodging, dining, activities and more.
For 57 years now, the Myrtle Beach area has been welcoming Canadians travellers with deep discounts on attractions, accommodation, dining and more during its one-week Canadian-American Festival, aka Can-Am Days.
This year’s event runs March 10 to March 18, and once again there are discounts ranging from 25% to 55% off.
The discounts are designed to help Canadians make up the difference between our limping looney, and the stronger U.S. dollar. And while the festival is only a week long, some deals run through May 2018.
Travellers must show a valid Canadian passport to receive discounts at select hotels, attractions, golf courses, restaurants and live entertainment venues during their visit to the Myrtle Beach area.
“We have seen a growing number of Canadian visitors to the Myrtle Beach area, especially in the past decade,” said Julie Ellis, PR and communications manager for the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce/CVB.
“The late winter and early spring seasons offer mild weather, more affordable accommodations and more elbow room at area attractions. The special promotions for our Canadian neighbours provide even more incentive by bridging the gap in the exchange rate.”
