Substantial Change to Trip from Sunquest
I am extremely dissatisfied with Sunquest for changing my flight times substantially.
I had originally booked a trip to Bahamas departing from Toronto on March 18, 2012 at 6:40 am, arriving in Bahamas at 9:55 am and departing from Bahamas on March 22, 2012 at 8:50pm and arriving in Toronto at 12:05 am on March 23, 2012. I received notification from my travel agent exactly one month prior to the scheduled trip that the flight times had been changed to depart from Toronto on March 18, 2012 at 4:40pm arriving in Bahamas at 7:55 pm and departing from Bahamas on March 22, 2012 at 10:50 am and arriving in Toronto at 2:05 pm. This change essentially cuts my trip down to only 2 days in Bahamas, as opposed to 4; I did not agree to this. No rational human being would want to pay $800 for a 2 day trip and I clearly did not agree to this. I booked the trip on the basis of the flight times, as everyone does with short vacations.
I understand the flight dates and times are subject to change however, there is no reason cited for this change. I am a rational person and can appreciate that bad weather occurs and flights can consequently be delayed but when notification is given one month in advance I can confidently say that this change is not from weather or other related delays. This change is a flat out scam from the travel service provider, Sunquest. They are evidently taking advantage of the fact that flight times are subject to change. They have ripped me off and I am so disgusted with their service. As such I do not think that Sunquest is a reputable company. I no longer trust the services of Sunquest. As a result, I will no longer use or recommend Sunquest’s services.
