Do I have the right to make a complaint?

In many occassions I did buy my flight tickets from Flight Network without any incidents. My last booking trip was different since my name does not show up in airlines computer system at my return from Bangkok to Whitehorse-Canada, (last March 4). Was a very stressfull situation dealing with workers from Thai and UA airlines since Air Canada does not have office in that city. Only half hour from departure I got one seat as stand by, pass security, immigration, long walk in that huge new airport and the plane just was waiting for me to leave.
How that happen since in my electronic ticket show up that everything was fine?
